For #MotivationMonday I have decided to write on a topic that is close to my heart, BULLYING.

BULLYING isn't a problem that makes headlines everyday, but everyday it touches the lives of all ages young and old across the globe, from school, relationships and the business world.

Bullies come in all shapes and sizes. They are a diverse crowd. They all share the same ideology and they all share a love for grinding their victims under their heel with absolute lies.

It doesn't matter if you talk different, look different, walk different, have a quirk....have the self confidence to know that you are beautiful and unique. And any bully that tries to pull you down lacks that  self confidence and is not content within himself.  By bullying you, it makes them feel better about themselves so that they can suck the awesomeness out of you.

If you are confident the bully recognizes this and your success,  it reminds them of their non-success. If you are self conscience or shy or quiet, be brave step out of your comfort zone and stand up to them.  Tell them to back off.   Empower yourself, try to ignore the bully by saying NO firmly, then turn and walk away.  Remember it is very  hard for the bully to go on bullying someone who won’t stand still and take it. Don’t show you upset or angry, bullies like to get a reaction.

People who believe in themselves and lead happy lives rarely put others down. they don’t take judgmental shots at people.  When you’re living a life with purpose you want to see others succeed. You tend to notice others good qualities and want to acknowledge them for it.

There will be times when you will have to walk away from those who are being a bully and being negative, or mean. WALK. There will be  times when you will have to take a stand for what you know to be right. TAKE THAT STAND.

I know how hard that can be. At one stage of my high school days I was a victim of bullying, because I did not want to conform and had my own set of values and perspectives.  I had to make a decision and I chose to break away from the negativity and bullying that I was exposed to.  I had some lessons that had to be learnt.  It was a lonely road, however in retrospect it was the VERY BEST THING I EVER DID.
